As always, there are No Registration Fees for the in-home lesson program!

Students will take lessons once per week (sometimes more often, if desired). Beginners typically start with 30-minute lessons, although 45-minute and 60-minute lessons are open to anyone.


What makes us unique is the choices we offer to our students. You pick the type of teacher you wish to work with. Lessons are offered with Master Teachers and Apprentice Teachers. The type of teacher you choose determines your price. All teachers must audition, pass a music theory test, background check and undergo training through our company.

The Master Teacher has a degree in music or the equivalent background. If the teacher does not have teaching experience prior to his/her work with Starlight Music Lessons, they will attend thorough training seminars and must pass pedagogy tests before teaching with our company. The Master Teacher will be able to work with advanced students as well as beginner/intermediate students. A Master Teacher will be able to help the student work towards competitions and festivals if desired.

How do I enroll in In-Home Lessons?
Simply click on ENROLL in the upper menu on this website. Select the best teacher for you! No guessing and hoping that you will get the "right" teacher. You pick who will work best for your family.

I want to enroll my pre-school aged child in lessons. How do I know if he or she is ready?
In general, students should be able to read numbers 1-5 and letters A-G. Students should also be potty trained and be able to carry on a conversation. There are specific requirements for individual instruments. Contact us for questions about specific instruments.

Do you bring an instrument to my house?
It is your responsibility to provide your own instrument. You'll want to have this instrument to practice on so you can keep improving.

Is the teacher coming to my home background checked?
Yes! All teachers must pass a strict background check before working with Learn Piano In Your Home.

Starlight Music Lessons offers an exceptional recital/concert experience for the student. Although participation is not mandatory, each student is strongly encouraged to perform as our recitals are the highlight of the year and serve to provide motivation for even the most "stage shy" student.

Recitals are held in local auditoriums, with a maximum or 40-50 students per show.

We have a big show every spring, usually in May or June. Winter and Summer recitals are held if there is enough student interest in your area. In addition, we combine recitals with community service by offering organized performing opportunities at nursing homes and retirement apartments. Click here for more information about recitals!


We offer a trial lesson so you can meet your teacher before starting regular lessons.

Just click on Enroll to find the right teacher for you and register for your trial lesson.

You'll pay only for the first trial lesson. No registration fees, no long term commitment!

You won't be charged again until you are ready to continue with lessons on a regular basis.

A good match between student and teacher is important. If for some reason the teacher you chose isn't what you had in mind, just let us know and we'll work with you to find a better fit.
